After a long wait, one of Royal Caribbean’s most beloved ships is finally getting her time in the spotlight. Allure of the Seas, one of the original Oasis Class ships, officially arrived in Cadiz, Spain on February 25, 2025, kicking off a long-awaited, multi-million-dollar transformation that will add new thrills, dining experiences, and innovative spaces. This massive renovation — part of Royal Caribbean’s Royal Amplified program — will infuse Allure with bold new features, setting the stage for her Summer season of cruises departing from Barcelona, Spain.

Allure of the Seas

Allure’s sister ship, Oasis of the Seas, was the first to receive a major upgrade back in 2019, introducing a lineup of modern thrills, new dining concepts, and waterslides. Allure was scheduled to follow suit in 2020, but the pandemic hit pause on those plans. Now, in 2025, Allure’s long-overdue glow-up is finally happening, with more than $100 million being invested to ensure the ship dazzles.

When Allure of the Seas debuts her refreshed look in April 2025, she’ll be fully equipped to offer some of Royal Caribbean’s most exciting experiences ever introduced at sea. Among the highlights:

Allure of the Seas waterslides
  • The Perfect Storm Waterslides – Allure will finally join the waterslide club, adding the thrilling Cyclone and Typhoon racing slides, plus the SuperCell champagne bowl slide for an extra twisty thrill.
  • Ultimate Abyss – The daring 10-story dry slide, already a fan-favorite on other Oasis Class ships, is the best way to get from the sports deck to the boardwalk in under a minute!
  • Resort-Style Pool Deck – Allure’s pool scene gets a resort-inspired refresh, with new loungers, casitas, and in-water seating for ultimate relaxation. Nearby, the two-level Lime & Coconut bar keeps the tropical vibes going with drinks, and live music.
  • Splashaway Bay – Little cruisers will have their own aquatic playground, with slides, fountains, water cannons, and double the drench buckets for maximum splash factor.

Allure’s culinary scene is also getting a serious upgrade, bringing some of Royal Caribbean’s newest and most popular venues to the ship for the first time:

Allure of the Seas Pesky Parrott
  • Pesky Parrot – A Caribbean-inspired tiki bar that first debuted on Utopia of the Seas. Expect fun, fruit-forward cocktails, tropical frozen drinks, and a few surprises along the way.
  • The Mason Jar – This Southern comfort food spot, known for its homestyle dishes, live country music, and warm hospitality, joins Allure after winning fans over on Wonder of the Seas.
  • Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade – Perfect for all ages, this casual venue serves up classic bar bites, cold beers, and endless sports action on dozens of screens — plus a fun arcade for kids (and kids at heart).

Entertainment and family fun have always been at the heart of the Oasis Class, and Allure’s refresh takes it to the next level:

Allure of the Seas teen club
  • Royal Escape Room: Apollo 18 – Teams will be transported to 1973, tasked with solving puzzles to guide a lunar landing before time runs out.
  • Laser Tag: Battle for Planet Z – By night, the Studio B ice rink transforms into a glow-in-the-dark battleground, where families and friends can team up or face off in an epic laser tag showdown.
  • Adventure Ocean & Social298 – Kids and teens get all-new spaces designed just for them, with hands-on activities, immersive games, creative workshops, and dedicated hangout spots.

Allure’s reimagination also introduces new accommodations, including the Ultimate Panoramic Suites, perched above the ship’s bridge with breathtaking 200-degree ocean views.

These new rooms join a lineup of returning fan favorites, from the FlowRider surf simulators and rock climbing walls to classic dining venues like Chops Grille, Giovanni’s Table, and the Schooner Bar.

With her enhancements complete, Allure will sail 7-night Western Mediterranean cruises from Barcelona, visiting:

  • Provence (Marseille), France
  • Florence/Pisa (La Spezia), Italy
  • Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy
  • Palma de Mallorca, Spain

After her European season, Allure will head back across the Atlantic, homeporting in Fort Lauderdale, Florida starting in November 2025. Guests will be able to choose from a lineup of 6- to 8-night Caribbean getaways, including visits to Perfect Day at CocoCay and the soon-to-open Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in Nassau, The Bahamas.
