After two weeks in drydock at Palermo, Italy’s shipyard, Majestic Princess has reemerged with a vibrant new energy just in time for its 2025 Mediterranean season. The 3,560-guest ship, already celebrated for its modern luxury, now boasts an even richer selection of dining options, social spaces, and refined enhancements that blend beloved classics with fresh inspiration.
The revitalization is more of a transformation rather than a complete reinvention. Drawing from guest favorites across the Princess Cruises fleet, the updates are designed to elevate the onboard experience without losing the ship’s charm.
“We can’t wait to welcome guests aboard for the upcoming Mediterranean season as we celebrate our 40th anniversary of cruising in this stunning, sought-after region,” said Lorna Warren, Vice President of Hotel Operations and Guest Experience at Princess Cruises.
Among the most exciting changes are the new and reimagined venues that will greet guests across several decks:
A Taste of the World, One Deck at a Time
Deck 5 sets the tone with a warm welcome from O’Malley’s Irish Pub, where live music and hearty comfort food create an inviting hub for passengers day and night. Right next door, Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria brings Tuscan traditions to the sea, offering hand-crafted pastas and slow-braised dishes in a relaxed, family-style setting.
Meanwhile, Good Spirits At Sea introduces an interactive cocktail experience, replacing the former Piazza Bar with an atmosphere that blends education and entertainment. And for those craving a sweet indulgence, the Confectionary’s Victorian-inspired shopfront invites guests to pick from a colorful array of nostalgic candies.
Decks 6 and 7 continue the culinary and leisure journey, with the debut of Bellini’s Cocktail Bar—an ode to Italian romance—and a refreshed Ocean Terrace Sushi Bar, now offering a prime view of the bustling Piazza alongside freshly rolled sushi and sashimi.
Shoppers can explore a newly expanded presence of EFFY Jewelry, now offering consultations and curated luxury collections across two retail spaces. A reimagined Princess Photo Gallery also finds a new home, making it easier for guests to view memories captured throughout their voyage.
On Deck 16, the culinary revamp continues. Alfredo’s Slice steps in to serve handcrafted, Neapolitan-style pizza poolside, replacing the former noodle bar. Just a few steps away, The Salty Dog Café plates up casual favorites like burgers, hot dogs, tacos, and loaded fries—perfect for a laid-back day in the sun.
Though these changes bring an array of new experiences to Majestic Princess, they maintain the ship’s essential appeal. The ship will continue to offer the Princess MedallionClass experience, personalized touches throughout the journey.
Following a Mediterranean season running from April to July 2025, Majestic Princess will head west, offering voyages through Canada and New England in late summer before wrapping up the year in the Caribbean.
