Disney Cruise Line is getting ready to launch its biggest storytelling adventure yet. Setting sail in November 2025 from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, the new Disney Destiny will bring Disney’s most iconic heroes and villains to life in a way families have never experienced before.
As the sister ship to the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, Disney Destiny will take families on four- and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and the Western Caribbean, including stops at both of Disney’s private island destinations: Disney Castaway Cay and the newly opened Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

A “Heroes and Villains” Voyage Like No Other
The Disney Destiny is built around a bold “Heroes and Villains” design theme, blending bravery and mischief into every detail. The ship’s exterior will feature a stern filigree sculpture of Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots, signaling the ship’s Marvel influence before guests even board.
Inside, Disney’s worlds of fantasy and courage come alive — from nods to Black Panther and Hercules to villainous encounters aboard AquaMouse. With rich decor inspired by classic and modern Disney stories, the Destiny becomes a floating celebration of epic personalities.
Grand Hall: Where Legends Gather
The Grand Hall will serve as the ship’s centerpiece, styled after the kingdom of Wakanda from Marvel’s Black Panther. Cruisers can expect larger-than-life character interactions, live performances, and surprise theatrical moments — all powered by 360-degree lighting effects that react dynamically to visiting heroes and villains.
Presiding over the space will be an iconic Black Panther statue, setting the tone for a grand environment where storytelling and spectacle come together.
Dining with Simba, Rocket Raccoon, and Classic Disney Icons
Rotational Dining remains a hallmark of Disney Cruise Line, and Destiny will introduce new experiences alongside beloved favorites:
- Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King: Families will dine while storytellers and musicians retell Simba’s journey with live performances and flavors inspired by African cuisine. Expect spice blends, grains, and traditional dishes reimagined for adventurous palates.
- Worlds of Marvel: This updated version of the fan-favorite restaurant features Rocket and Groot leading guests through a Marvel music and trivia-filled dinner experience.
- 1923: Paying homage to the year The Walt Disney Company was founded, 1923 offers an elegant Hollywood-inspired setting with over 1,000 artifacts — and a menu influenced by Disney animated classics like Sleeping Beauty, Hercules, and Big Hero 6.

Quick dining highlights include:
- Café Megara (Hercules) and Café Merida (Brave): Walk-up cafes offering artisanal coffee, snacks, and treats.
- Edna Á La Mode Sweets: A playful dessert shop where guests can indulge in handcrafted gelato, cookies, and candies straight from the lab of The Incredibles’ own Edna Mode.

Room service will also be available 24 hours a day for guests looking to relax in their staterooms.
Broadway-Caliber Entertainment at Sea

Entertainment aboard the Disney Destiny will take Disney Cruise Line’s signature magic to the next level with all-new shows and one-of-a-kind experiences.
- Disney Hercules: A dazzling new Broadway-style musical retelling the journey of Hercules, Megara, and Hades, filled with show-stopping music, stunning effects, and heart.
- Frozen, A Musical Spectacular: A returning fan favorite, this production brings the magic of Frozen to the stage through song, dance, and beautiful staging.
- Disney Seas the Adventure: Featuring Captain Minnie Mouse and a roster of beloved Disney and Pixar characters, this whimsical show invites families on a seafaring quest.
New spaces like Saga — a two-story hub inspired by Wakanda’s bold, futuristic style — will be the go-to spot for game shows, trivia, family fun during the day, and exclusive entertainment for adults at night.
Daily movies will play at two cinemas: Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas, screening Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars classics and first-run films.
Epic Encounters with Disney’s Heroes and Villains
Character interactions aboard the Destiny will go beyond traditional meet-and-greets:
- Cruella de Vil will host runway challenges and musical tributes.
- Dr. Facilier will perform dazzling parlor tricks in the Grand Hall.
- Maleficent will command Saga with her magical prowess.
- Loki, ever the trickster, will roam the ship proclaiming himself ruler — stirring up games, contests, and interactive experiences.
Of course, fan favorites like Captain Jack Sparrow, Bruno, Hades, and Captain Hook will also make mischievous appearances throughout the voyage.
The Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party nighttime spectacular will invite guests to dance under the stars with a live rock band and dazzling fireworks at sea.
Guests can also dive into adventures with Disney Uncharted Adventure, a mobile-enabled scavenger hunt blending the digital world with the real ship.
Grown-Up Escapes: Chic Lounges, Fine Dining, and Serene Spaces
Adults have their own escapes aboard Disney Destiny:
- De Vil’s: A piano lounge with Hollywood Regency glamour and martini culture.
- Cask & Cannon: A pirate pub with barrel-aged rums and exclusive “bootlegged” beers.
- The Sanctum: A Doctor Strange-themed cocktail lounge filled with mystical artifacts.
- Haunted Mansion Parlor: Featuring craft cocktails among ghostly tributes to the classic Disney attraction.
Fine dining will shine with returning venues:

Wellness seekers can relax at Quiet Cove — an adults-only oasis with an infinity pool — or unwind with spa treatments at Senses Spa and fitness programs at Senses Fitness.
Hook’s Barbery and Untangled Salon will offer stylish grooming options for men and women, respectively, including premium cocktails at the Barbery’s hidden bar.
Adventure Awaits on Deck
The ship’s top decks will include three distinct family areas:
- Mickey and Friends District: Seven pools, casual dining, and the AquaMouse water coaster featuring a brand-new “Sing a Silly Song” storyline where Mickey and Minnie turn a villainous mountain adventure into a musical comedy.
- Toy Story Splash Zone: Perfect for toddlers, with a wading pool, water slide, and smoothie bar.
Expect ample lounge space for sunbathing and family relaxation, plus interactive games throughout the day.
