The airline has revealed its latest Disney-themed aircraft—Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer—a Boeing 737-800 decked out in rich colors and whimsical artwork inspired by The Princess and the Frog. The plane was unveiled at Portland International Airport before its first official flight to Santa Ana, California, in celebration of the soon-to-open Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ride at Disneyland Park.

If you happen to spot this plane at your gate, look closely—Princess Tiana takes center stage along the fuselage, joined by Louis the trumpet-playing alligator, glowing fireflies, and even Mama Odie and Prince Naveen, who make their appearance on the winglets. The design is not just eye-catching—it’s a flying tribute to adventure, music, and a whole lot of Disney charm.
Bringing this magical livery to life was no small feat. The transformation took over 2,000 hours of careful painting, completed by the team at IAC Spokane using a high-performance coating system by AkzoNobel. With 19 custom colors and layers of durable finish, the artwork isn’t just beautiful—it’s made to last as the plane travels coast to coast.
“We’re proud to be part of another joyful project that celebrates storytelling and innovation,” said Leo Rosales of AkzoNobel. “It’s a vibrant way to showcase Tiana’s world while pushing the boundaries of color and design in aviation.”
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer is the fourth plane in Alaska Airlines’ Disney fleet, joining fan-favorites like Mickey’s Toontown Express, Star Wars Transport to Disneyland Resort, and Friendship and Beyond. All four liveries were painted using AkzoNobel’s aerospace coatings and are part of Alaska’s ongoing collaboration with Disneyland Resort.
