Guests will have the chance to explore iconic 18th-century windmills, cruise through charming neighborhoods via canal, indulge in art, architecture, and food tastings, embark on city excursions, partake in pottery activities, visit castles, bike through picturesque countryside, and more. These experiences have been thoughtfully designed to provide a deep dive into the fascinating history and modern influence of the region.

The spring tulip sailing takes the focus to Holland and Belgium’s world-renowned floral beauty and industry. Highlights of this itinerary include stops at breathtaking gardens and a tulip farm, allowing guests to fully appreciate the beauty of the tulip season.

Adventures by Disney, Holland and Belgium River Cruise – Keukenhof

Throughout the eight-day, seven-night voyage, in collaboration with AmaWaterways, families will be guided by Disney-trained Adventure Guides. These guides take care of every detail and bring the destinations to life through the storytelling Disney is so famous for. To add to the convenience, the river cruise ship serves as the hotel for the entire trip, eliminating the need to unpack multiple times. Meals and activities are provided, and guests have the option to customize their adventures with free time.

Adventures by Disney, Holland and Belgium River Cruise – Antwerp

Holland and Belgium are regions that have been shaped by necessity and innovation, with much of the land sitting at or below sea level. The landscapes are adorned with windmills, canals, dikes, and water stations that reflect centuries of farming, commerce, and residential life. Dutch artists have also made a significant impact on the visual arts for centuries.

Both itineraries begin and end in Amsterdam, providing the opportunity to explore this vibrant city, along with other captivating sites and activities. These include visiting the windmills at Kinderdijk, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, taking bicycle tours through charming cities and castles, learning about Royal Delft pottery, enjoying canal cruises through picturesque neighborhoods, discovering the origins of printing at Plantin and Moretus publishing, admiring the art at Antwerp’s Cathedral of Our Lady, and indulging in tastings of chocolate, cheese, waffles, and beer.

The traditional Holland and Belgium itinerary includes visits to Amsterdam, Utrecht, Rotterdam, Ghent, Brussels, Antwerp, Kinderdijk, Gouda, and Bruges. Unique activities for this tour include a Pilgrim walking tour in Rotterdam, exploring the Utrecht Museum Speelklok’s magic of music, strolling through the largest castle in the Netherlands (Castle de Haar), and learning about comic books or chocolate expertise in Brussels through a chocolate-making workshop.

For adult travelers seeking an exclusive adventure, Adventures by Disney will offer one adult-only departure for this tour.

Holland’s lowlands and favorable climate make it the perfect region for tulips. The tulip sailing itinerary, offered once in April, captures the breathtaking beauty of the blooming season.

Adventures by Disney, Holland and Belgium River Cruise – Kinderdijk

On this itinerary, guests will visit Amsterdam, Hoorn, Middelburg, Ghent, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Kinderdijk, and Schoonhoven. Highlights include experiencing the brilliant display of 7 million spring-flowering bulbs and garden art at Keukenhof, marveling at the expansive rows of tulips in Hoorn, touring a tulip farm to learn about cultivation and harvesting, exploring the Floralia Flower Show at the Castle of Grand Bigard (featuring over 1 million tulip bulbs), and even participating in a hands-on Belgian chocolate-making activity while painting an ornamental clog in a traditional design to take home.
