Royal Caribbean will introduce significant updates to three of its popular cruise ships in 2026. Ovation of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas, and Liberty of the Seas will each undergo enhancements as part of the cruise line’s Royal Amplified program, with new dining options, entertainment, and onboard experiences designed to appeal to a wide range of travelers.
These updates follow previous amplifications within the Royal Caribbean fleet and will roll out beginning in spring 2026.
“Royal Caribbean continues to expand what’s possible on board by evolving ships and destinations,” said Jay Schneider, Chief Product Innovation Officer for Royal Caribbean. “After seeing strong guest response to the recent Allure of the Seas amplification, we’re looking forward to introducing new experiences across these three ships.”
Here is a closer look at what travelers can expect:
Ovation of the Seas

Ovation of the Seas will feature an updated pool deck with new private casitas and a whirlpool. Several new dining options will be added, including Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen and Izumi Teppanyaki, while a new tiki bar called Pesky Parrot will also debut.

Entertainment and nightlife will expand with a new live music venue, the Sound Cellar, and an enlarged Casino Royale. New accommodations will include the Ultimate Family Suite and Panoramic Suites. Core Quantum Class offerings—such as the Ripcord by iFly skydiving simulator and the SeaPlex indoor activity space—will remain part of the experience.
In 2026, Ovation will return to Alaska for 7- to 13-night cruises, including land-based Cruisetour extensions.
Harmony of the Seas

Harmony of the Seas will debut a refreshed pool deck with The Lime & Coconut bar and an updated adults-only Solarium. New dining venues will include Samba Grill Brazilian Steakhouse, Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade, and El Loco Fresh.
The ship will also offer an Ultimate Family Suite and an expanded Casino Royale—currently the largest in the fleet.
Harmony will spend summer 2026 in Europe, then homeport in Port Canaveral for Caribbean sailings that include stops at St. Thomas, Jamaica, Perfect Day at CocoCay, and Royal Caribbean’s new Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, opening December 2025.
Liberty of the Seas

Liberty of the Seas will introduce a reimagined pool deck, The Lime & Coconut bar, new shaded casitas, and a new version of the Royal Escape Room. Additional dining will include Izumi Teppanyaki, El Loco Fresh, and Starbucks.
Existing features like The Perfect Storm waterslides and the ship’s entertainment offerings will remain.
Liberty will sail from Southampton in summer 2026 with 7-night itineraries to Norway, Bruges, and Copenhagen. In winter 2026, it will reposition to Galveston, Texas, with Western Caribbean itineraries, including a stop at the upcoming Royal Beach Club Cozumel, expected to open in 2026.
These ship updates follow Royal Caribbean’s ongoing fleet expansion, which also includes four additional ships currently on order. The cruise line will further grow its private destination offerings in the coming years, adding Perfect Day Mexico in 2027 and new beach club experiences in The Bahamas, Mexico, Haiti, and the South Pacific.
