As construction continues on one of Disney Cruise Line’s newest ships, crews in Germany recently installed a massive sculpture of Spider-Man on the ship’s stern. It’s the first time a Marvel character has been featured in this prominent spot on a Disney cruise ship, and the results are both impressive and fun.

The larger-than-life figure shows Spidey mid-swing, helping a crew of three energetic Spider-Bots give the ship’s decorative filigree its finishing touches. The web-inspired pattern on the back of the ship now glints with pops of yellow paint, cruise gear, and plenty of personality. One Spider-Bot has a snorkel and goggles. Another’s rocking sunglasses. It’s playful, unmistakably Marvel, and hints at the kind of experience guests can expect when the ship sets sail.

The Disney Destiny is set to launch from Fort Lauderdale’s Port Everglades on November 20, 2025, with four- and five-night itineraries to The Bahamas and the Western Caribbean. Designed as a tribute to the stories of Disney’s most iconic heroes and villains, the ship will bring characters from the Marvel Universe, Disney classics, and pirate lore together in one floating adventure.

Inside, the ship will feature a Wakanda-inspired Grand Hall, complete with a striking statue of T’Challa, the Black Panther. This space isn’t just a gathering area—it will transform into a theater with interactive character shows.

Upstairs, the Destiny Tower Suite channels Iron Man’s sleek aesthetic in a two-story penthouse that spans nearly 2,000 square feet. Guests staying here will enjoy access to a private sundeck and exclusive Concierge Lounge perks.

Dining options lean into the theme, too. De Vil’s is a piano lounge with dramatic flair, designed with Cruella’s bold style in mind. Over at Cask and Cannon, a pub inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean, you’ll find specialty rums, “bootlegged” brews, and a trove of pirate memorabilia.

And for those who love Disney’s signature waterslides, AquaMouse returns with a new twist. The show Sing a Silly Song stars Mickey and Minnie as they embark on a splashy ride up Villain Mountain—complete with the kind of chaotic fun only Disney’s mischievous side can deliver.
