This spring, Walt Disney World is setting a new tone: breezy, vibrant, and full of reasons to revisit. For the first time since 2019, all six parks — four theme parks and two water parks — will be open at once, with a few seasonal surprises that feel distinctly 2025.

Both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon will reopen starting May 21. Blizzard Beach, which quietly marked its 30th anniversary, will undergo a brief refresh from May 1–20 before reopening for the busy season. Typhoon Lagoon returns just in time to host H2O Glow After Hours, an after-dark event running from May 23 through September 13. Expect shorter lines, dance parties with Toy Story characters, and free snacks tucked under the stars — a little more low-key than the daytime splash but with plenty of energy.

This year, Disney Resort hotel guests are also being offered complimentary water park admission on their arrival day, a quiet nod to adding value without fanfare.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is bringing two exciting new shows to life. The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure will debut on May 27, 2025, at the Animation Courtyard theater. This reimagined live stage production will feature favorite songs from the classic 1989 film, including “Part of Your World,” “Under the Sea,” and “Kiss the Girl,” brought to life with innovative puppetry and cutting-edge digital imagery. Also opening on May 27 is Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After, a brand-new stage show replacing Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy. Guests can look forward to an engaging experience starring some of Disney’s most infamous villains.
Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom Park is offered on select nights from January 6 to May 19, 2025. Guests can enjoy “Disney After Hours,” a limited-capacity event offering shorter wait times for popular attractions, complimentary snacks, and character meet-and-greets. Ticket holders can enter the park as early as 7:00 PM, with the event running from 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM

The 2025 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is currently underway, running from March 5 through June 2, 2025, celebrating its 30th anniversary. This annual event transforms EPCOT into a vibrant showcase of blooming gardens, intricate topiaries, and diverse culinary experiences.

This year introduces several new topiary displays, including:
Moana and Friends: Featuring Moana, Maui, Heihei, and Pua at the park's main entrance.
Phineas and Ferb: Located in CommuniCore Plaza.
Asha, Valentino, and the Wishing Star from 'Wish': Situated in World Nature.
Groot from 'Guardians of the Galaxy': Near Connections Café in World Discovery.
Miguel and Dante from 'Coco': In the Mexico Pavilion.
In total, there are over 70 Disney character topiaries among more than 100 topiaries throughout the park.
Meanwhile, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is quietly celebrating its 27th anniversary throughout April with Earth Month activities, including special PhotoPass Magic Shots and Earth Week festivities scheduled for late April.
We love that Walt Disney World is leaning into the rhythms of spring: renewal, color, and a little more breathing room before summer’s full sprint.
