Disneyland Paris Marks 33 Years With Big Changes on the Horizon

Disneyland Paris just celebrated its 33rd anniversary, and while the park has long been a favorite for families across Europe, the next few years are shaping up to be some of its most exciting yet. With sweeping changes across nearly every part of the resort — from its hotels and parks to Disney Village — the updates promise to enhance the overall guest experience in meaningful, immersive ways.

Here’s a breakdown of everything that’s happening — and coming soon — to Disneyland Paris.

Walt Disney Studios Park Is Getting a New Name (and New Worlds)

The park formerly known as Walt Disney Studios will officially be renamed Disney Adventure World in 2026. This change is part of a multi-year, multi-billion-euro expansion and creative overhaul that will bring guests deeper into their favorite Disney stories.

One of the major new areas coming in 2026 is World of Frozen, a land dedicated entirely to Frozen and the Kingdom of Arendelle. Towering at 36 meters tall, the North Mountain is already taking shape, and the new land will feature a ride with Anna and Elsa, themed shopping, and immersive dining. A royal character meet-and-greet will also offer the chance to meet the sisters in person.

Outside of World of Frozen, Disney Adventure World will continue growing with Adventure Bay — a new waterfront zone that will host a stunning nighttime spectacular complete with water effects, fountains, and drone shows above a newly created central lake. Construction teams are already testing elements of the upcoming show.

World Premiere: A Reimagined Entrance Experience

Kicking off the transformation is the debut of World Premiere, opening May 15, 2025. Previously known as Studio 1, this Hollywood-inspired entry zone is being redesigned to look and feel like a glamorous movie premiere.

Visitors will walk down a recreated Hollywood Boulevard complete with palm trees, vintage architecture, and even “stars” on the pavement. New experiences in this zone include:

  • The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant (quick-service dining)
  • Searchlight Kiosk (snacks and beverages)
  • Mickey’s of Hollywood Boutique (retail space inspired by 1920s department stores)

Outside, World Premiere Plaza will serve as a hub for daily live shows inside nearby theaters like Studio D and the Animagique Theater, showcasing Disney and Pixar stories on stage.

Adventure Way and a New Ride Inspired by Up

Connecting the front of the park with its expanding lands is Adventure Way, a promenade surrounded by themed gardens inspired by films like Tangled and Toy Story. This scenic walkway is set to grow even further by late 2025, when construction begins on a new family attraction inspired by Pixar’s Up — the first of its kind in any Disney park. Guests will soar above the park in a flying carousel that offers a bird’s-eye view of the landscape below.

Adventure Way will also be home to The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, a dining venue with views of the nighttime spectacular and the chance to meet Disney Princesses in an elegant setting.

A Whole New World: The Lion King Land and Attraction

Following the opening of World of Frozen, the next major addition to Disney Adventure World will be a land themed entirely to The Lion King. Construction is set to begin in Fall 2025, and it’s already being called one of the most ambitious projects at Disneyland Paris.

The signature ride will take guests through the Pride Lands on a water-based journey filled with advanced animatronics, immersive sound, and detailed scenery. The ride experience will include three slopes and a thrilling 16-meter drop. Guests will start their adventure in caves beneath a massive 37-meter-high Pride Rock before following Simba’s story across iconic scenes from the 1994 animated classic.

Hotel Upgrades: Sequoia Lodge and Davy Crockett Ranch

The resort’s hotel transformation continues following the successful revamps of Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel (2021) and Disneyland Hotel (2024). Next in line is the Disney Sequoia Lodge, which will begin renovations in 2026.

The upgrade will maintain the hotel’s nature-focused theme while brightening interiors and adding a modern touch. The refreshed design will celebrate forest animals from various Disney films — moving beyond just Bambi — and will incorporate eco-conscious materials. Work will be done in phases to allow the hotel to stay open during the renovations.

Nearby, the Disney Davy Crockett Ranch is replacing all 584 of its bungalows with updated accommodations themed around Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and the Junior Woodchucks. The first wave of new bungalows will be bookable starting June 12, 2025, for travel after summer that year.

Disney Village Is Getting a Major Makeover

The Disney Village shopping and dining district is also evolving. Located between the parks and hotels, this area is being reimagined to offer more modern retail and food experiences with that signature Disney charm.

New retail additions already open include:

  • Disney Glamour and Disney Style (apparel and accessories)
  • A redesigned LEGO Store (opened April 19)
  • Deco by Disney (homeware and collectibles)

In Fall 2025, the Disney Store will close and reopen in a new format as Disney Wonders, a flagship shop featuring merchandise from all the major Disney franchises.

Dining is also being refreshed. Highlights include:

  • Brasserie Rosalie, which opened in late 2023, will expand with a new lakeside terrace, Petite Rosalie, offering snacks and desserts
  • Sports Bar & Lounge will reopen in Fall 2025 with more space and a new menu
  • A brand-new McDonald’s with unique architecture is set to debut in 2026
  • Casa Giulia, a three-story Italian restaurant by Bertrand Hospitality, will open soon, bringing a new upscale option to the area

With all these updates — from new themed lands and attractions to hotel renovations and upgraded shopping and dining — Disneyland Paris is setting the stage for its biggest transformation since opening in 1992. And with nearly every corner of the resort touched by these changes, it’s clear the next few years will bring a reimagined, richer Disneyland Paris experience for guests of all ages.
