For decades, Disneyland Resort has been the go-to destination for families looking to make magical memories. And this spring, in celebration of the resort’s 70th anniversary, there’s even more reason to plan a visit. From new stage shows to beloved character appearances and interactive play parties, the parks are rolling out a wave of kid-friendly entertainment—with something for toddlers, tweens, and the grown-ups who grew up with Disney.
Here’s a look at what’s coming to Disneyland Resort in spring and summer 2025.
A New Stage Show for Preschoolers: “Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!”
Starting May 16, 2025, families visiting Disney California Adventure will be able to catch the debut of Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! at the Disney Theater. Inspired by the hit animated series—and timed perfectly with the launch of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+—this new interactive show invites young kids to sing, dance, and laugh along with Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Pluto, and Goofy. The plot is simple and engaging: Mickey and Minnie are throwing a party, but their friends haven’t arrived yet, so they hit the road to find them—bringing the audience along for the ride. It all wraps up in a big, high-energy finale.
If your kids are in the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse phase, this is a can’t-miss.
Rex Joins the Lineup at Pixar Pier

To mark the 30th anniversary of Toy Story, another fan-favorite character is joining the parks: Rex, the anxious yet loveable green dinosaur, will be available for meet-and-greets at Pixar Pier starting June 1, 2025. It’s a rare chance to snap a photo with one of the original Pixar crew and adds to the growing list of Pixar pals kids can meet around California Adventure.
Pixar Pals Playtime Party Returns to Disneyland Park

If your family needs to burn off some energy, look no further than the Pixar Pals Playtime Party, returning to the Fantasyland Theatre starting May 23, 2025, for a limited run. Designed with younger kids in mind, this interactive experience combines dancing, games, and surprise visits from popular Pixar characters. Plus, a big screen showing iconic Pixar shorts means there’s a place to rest while still soaking up the fun.
Stitch’s Beach Party Is Back—and It’s in Space
For families staying into the evening, Stitch’s Interplanetary Beach Party Blast is back at the Tomorrowland Terrace. Beginning May 23, 2025, this DJ-style dance party lets kids boogie with Stitch and his pals under the stars. Characters like Goofy, Pluto, Chip ‘n Dale, and Clarabelle Cow often make appearances to join the fun. It’s a chance to let loose at night without needing to line up for rides—ideal for families who want to keep the magic going past bedtime.
