Break out the bubbly the Norwegian Getaway is ready to sail!  Dubbed “Miami’s ship”, the luxury liner was blessed during a ceremony that took place at the PortMiami on Friday, February 7.

Staying with their Miami theme, the cruise line invited local icon and international recording artist PitBull to perform during the Christening ceremony.  Also on hand were the Miami Cheerleaders, who were selected to be the ship’s godmothers.

The Getaway offers something for cruisers of all ages.  Bask in the sun by the pool, tackle the ropes course or roar down five multi-story waterslides.

Plus, in addition to the Broadway shows and musicals there are 28 dining options including a steak house, a seafood restaurant and an authentic Japanese hibachi restaurant.

In the mood to experience both – together?  The Illusionarium offers an intimate dinner and a magnificent show featuring world-class magicians performing in their unique venue.

Well known for their decorative hull artwork, the whimsical mermaid holding the sun amidst a swirling cloud and sky design on the Getaway was designed by Miami’s own David “LEBO” Le Batard.

Norwegian Getaway is the largest cruise ship to homeport year-round at PortMiami, and will sail weekly seven-day cruises to the Caribbean from The Magic City.

This has to be the most exciting looking cruise liner ever..
I know MSC had a themed cruise liner but it wasn’t anything as fun looking as this one..
Any idea what the prices are and where it sails?
